Turmeric Arugula Salad

Turmeric, a plant in the ginger family, is native to Southeast Asia and is grown commercially in that region, primarily in India. Its rhizome (underground stem) is used as a culinary spice and in traditional medicine.

Curcumin is the active ingredient in turmeric, and it has powerful biological properties. Turmeric can be found in capsules, teas, powders, and extracts.

Turmeric and arugula both have amazing health properties. In this easy and tasty arugula recipe, we combined both of them along with strawberries, parsley, apple cider vinegar, celery, cucumber, red onion, and more, to make the healthiest salad!

Bon appétit!

Turmeric Arugula Salad

1 - Peel and finely mince the red onion using a sharp knife.

Tip: We recommend you use a Santoku knife for this task. We love Japanese knives and recommend this quality kit from GLOBAL for home and professional chefs. We also love this reversible cutting board with integrated handgrips from John Boos.

2 - Peel the cucumber using a peeler and finely slice it along with the celery and the strawberries. Then, dice the tomato and set all of these aside.

Tip: We store our ingredients in these mixing bowls from Duralex while cooking. We love Duralex for their quality products and low prices!

3 - Combine all the ingredients, except the cherry tomatoes, into a large mixing bowl and mix everything together using tongs

4 - Carefully wash the cherry tomatoes. Then, cut them in half and set them aside.

5 - Plate the salad. Then, add the cherry tomato halves and some fresh parsley on top in a pretty manner.
