We advise that you prepare all the above ingredients before starting.

You will typically need: a scale, measuring cups, and mixing bowls.

Gourmet Hot Chocolate

1 - Finely chop the dark chocolate and put it in a saucepan (or a saucier pan). Sabatier knives are excellent French blades we recommend for professional and home cooks.

2 - Place the saucepan over medium heat with the water and the ground coffee, and bring it to a boil. Then, turn off the heat and let the coffee infuse for 5 minutes.

3 - After infusion, put the saucepan back on medium heat, and add the almond milk and the chopped dark chocolate. Stir lightly using a spatula.

4 - Add the cocoa powder and a pinch of salt. Stir and bring your preparation to a boil.

5 - When it starts boiling, remove it from the heat and strain your hot chocolate to remove the ground coffee.

6 - Pour it into the mug of your choice and let it cool down for about 5 minutes. We love the elegant designs of these 3 different styles of mugs: crystal, copper, and assorted colors.

7 - Add the final touches with some whipped cream topping, and shred some fresh chocolate on top of it using a zester.

8 - Enjoy!
