In this recipe, we are showing you how to make a fudgy green tea matcha brownie! This delicious brownie is almost like chocolate blondies. Loaded with green tea powder and white chocolate, it is perfect for breakfast, dessert, or even as a gourmet snack.

As always, we are continuously trying to make our recipe as healthy as possible. Therefore, we chose to turn this matcha brownie into a gluten-free recipe.
If you want to learn more about gluten, check out our detailed article "Gluten: Everything You Need To Know".

When making recipes with chocolate, it is recommended to use a good quality one. Usually, the easy way will be to go to the grocery store. However, their chocolate often contains large amounts of added sugar.

If you have never tasted Valrhona chocolate, you absolutely must! We have been using them for many years now and will never be able to go back. They have so many varieties with so many different flavors. They are not cheap, but their chocolates are truly going to bring your recipes to the next level. No wonder this is what the pros use!

Here are a few chocolates we love to use:

Gluten-Free Matcha Brownie

5.3 oz (150g) - Gluten-free flour

½ tsp (2.5g) - Baking powder

3 tbsp (16g) - Matcha powder

6 oz (170g) - White chocolate

3 - Eggs

2.5 oz (70g) - Stevia

We advise that you prepare all the above ingredients before starting.

You will typically need: a scale, measuring cups, mixing bowls.

Gluten-Free Matcha Brownie

1 - Into a large mixing bowl, whisk all the dry ingredients together: the gluten-free flour, salt, baking soda, baking powder, and matcha powder. Set aside.

Tip: We store our ingredients in these mixing bowls and mini glass bowls from Duralex while cooking. We love Duralex for their quality products and low prices!

2 - Add some water into a saucepan (or like us a saucier pan) and place a mixing bowl over it. We call that a "double boiler". Add the white chocolate and the butter into the bowl and bring the water underneath to a simmer. Then, let everything melt slowly while continuously mixing with a spatula. When homogeneous, remove from the heat and set aside.

3 - Crack the eggs into a stand mixer bowl and whip them on medium speed for 5 minutes using the whisk attachment.

Tip: The KitchenAid Artisan Design Series and the KitchenAid Professional 600 Series are superstars among stand mixers and will look amazing in your kitchen! You may also use a hand mixer. We recommend this 7-speed hand mixer from KitchenAid for its quality and elegant design.

4 - While continuously whisking, slowly pour the stevia into the eggs and whip for another 5 minutes.

5 - Once nice and fluffy, add the melted white chocolate texture and whisk on low speed until well combined.

6 - Add the dry ingredients to the batter and mix until well combined using the paddle attachment.

7 - Line a baking dish with parchment paper and pour the brownie batter into it.

8 - Spread the brownie batter evenly throughout the dish with a spatula and sprinkle some white chocolate chips on top. Then, bake for about 35 minutes into a 320°F (160°C) preheated oven.

9 - When ready, place the baking dish on a cooling rack and let the brownie completely cool.

10 - Enjoy!
