Dijon Vinaigrette

Dijon mustard, or "Moutarde de Dijon" in French, is a traditional mustard of France, named after the town of Dijon in the Burgundy region.

Dijon was the center of mustard making in the late Middle Ages and was granted exclusive rights in the 17th century.

Dijon Vinaigrette

1 tbsp (18g) - Dijon mustard

1 pinch - Himalayan salt

2 tbsp (30ml) - Apple cider vinegar

4 oz (115ml) - Olive oil

½ - Lemon

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - 

We advise that you prepare all the above ingredients before starting.

You will typically need: a scale, measuring cups, mixing bowls.


Dijon Vinaigrette

1 - Add the Dijon mustard, the Himalayan salt, and the apple cider vinegar into a large mixing bowl, with the help of a spatula. Emulsify the vinaigrette by whisking until well combined. 

Tip: To experience the mesmerizing taste of the authentic Dijon vinaigrette, we recommend using the Maille mustard, the French brand which has been a producer since 1747.

2 - Pour the olive oil and whisk vigorously.

Tip: For a perfect emulsion, we recommend using a hand blender. Our must-have hand blender is the Braun Multiquick Technology.

3 - Squeeze half a lemon in your vinaigrette using a lemon squeezer and whisk to incorporate.

4 - Drizzle the vinaigrette on your salad.

Tip: These glass dispenser bottles are great for olive oil, vinegar, or even salad dressings.
