Quinoa Salad

1 - Pour the water into a saucepan (or like us a saucier pan) and bring it to a boil.

Tip: All-Clad is the gold standard for professional quality stainless steel cookware.

2 - Turn off the heat, and add the quinoa. Give it a quick mix using a spatula (wooden/silicone) and cook it on low heat for about 20 minutes.

3 - Once cooked, you will notice that all the water has been absorbed by the quinoa. Transfer it to a large mixing bowl and place it in the refrigerator.

4 - Finely slice the celery, the scallions, and the peeled shallot with a sharp knife and set those aside.

Tip: We recommend you use a Santoku knife for this task. We love Japanese knives and recommend this quality kit from GLOBAL for home and professional chefs. We also love this reversible cutting board with integrated hand grips from John Boos.

5 - Crush the garlic clove with the blade of your knife and peel the skin off. Then, mince the garlic and set it aside.

6 - Remove the stem and the seeds from the bell pepper and finely mince it using a sharp knife.

7 - Combine all the ingredients in the cooked quinoa and mix everything together using a spatula.

Tip: We store our ingredients in these mixing bowls and mini glass bowls from Duralex while cooking. We love Duralex for their quality products and low prices!

8 - Plate the salad and top it with fresh dill and sliced scallions.

9 - Enjoy!
