Here is an easy homemade mac and cheese recipe.

The 3 types of cheese make this macaroni and cheese so delicious, extra creamy, cheesy, and rich!

Mac & Cheese

3 cups (725g) - Whole milk

1 - Garlic clove

½ lb (225g) - Macaroni elbows

¾ cup (80g) - Shredded mozzarella

½ cup (50g) - Cheddar

4 oz (140g) - Monterey jack

1¾ oz (50g) - Butter

To taste - Salt

To taste - Thyme

To taste - Coriander

To taste - Cumin

 

Toppings

Cheddar

Shredded mozzarella

Cilantro

We advise that you prepare all the above ingredients before starting.

You will typically need: a scale, measuring cups, and mixing bowls.

 

Mac & Cheese

1 - Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

2 - Pour the milk into a saucepan (or a saucier pan) and start simmering on low heat.

3 - While simmering, add the garlic clove and elbow macaroni. Cook for about 10 minutes while stirring with a spatula from time to time.

4 - Add the salt, thyme, coriander, and cumin and stir a little. 

5 - Add the cheddar, mozzarella, and Monterey jack while mixing each time in between. 

6 - Turn off the heat and add the butter before mixing one more time until a rich and creamy mixture forms. 

7 - Pour into an oven-safe bowl and add the grated cheddar and mozzarella toppings. 

8 - Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20 minutes.

9 - Decorate with cilantro. 

10 - Enjoy!
